Our Vision is for a healthy, happy, and prosperous membership. The Local 487 Women’s Committee is dedicated to creating and sharing opportunities and to be a meaningful resource for educational tools, social media campaigns and community outreach and activism for women and transgender individuals of the Local.  This includes serving as a forum for them to express and gain support for gender- specific challenges. The Committee endeavors to create a sense of community throughout the Mid- Atlantic and the multiple crafts of Local 487. We do this work through highlighting the achievements of women and non-binary people in the Local and the labor movement. We will enhance their potential for success in our union, in our places of work and in our communities to ensure we all have the means to make our world an amazing place.
